A good skin is more than just an application upon application of skin care products. Excessive and animal skin care products can actually damage your skin and your health, especially when they are loaded with hazardous materials or questionable.
A great hue and overall good skin, good health begins with the means to remain fully hydrated and get the necessary skin care brands nutrients, vitamins and minerals in our diet every day. A balanced diet is together with better health and skin, healthy glow. Some basic nutrients the skin needs is pure water, zinc, soy protein, vitamin E, vitamin C, B-complex, carotenoids are flavonoids, and omega 3 fatty acids just to name a few.
In addition to good diet, your skin also needs cleansing, toning, moisture, and protection. In addition there may be particular problem areas you will need to address such as blotchiness, acne or pimples, dry spots, tigi haircare etc.
The basics – cleansing, toning and moisturizing
Cleaning: First and foremost you must understand your skin type when choosing a cleaner. Dry skin should avoid foaming cleanser and use a cleansing milk or lotion, oily skin can survive with a foaming cleanser if not to hard (dry skin oily skin reacts only create and produce more oil), combination skin should use a cleanser with a low ph of 7 or is less.
Toning: I have read different opinions about whether the toner is necessary or not but I strongly believe the skin care brands toning. Toning removes the last traces of cleanser, restores ph balance and closes the pores before moisturizing. Again, understand your skin type when you choose a toner. A few herbs for every skin type is as follows: Dry skin: elder flowers and sandalwood, oily skin: lemon balm or fennel, witch hazel, Combination Skin: Chamomile. There are many herbal or green tea mixed with distilled water to easily make your own toner at a fraction of the cost of toner cartridges purchased at the store.
Moisturizers: Moisturizers I have a double duty, it hydrates and protects as it contains an SPF. No matter what skin type, your skin should be hydrated. Dry skin requiring hydration and moisture and oily skin still needs hydration. In addition I always recommend a moisturizer with SPF during the day and night, emollient-rich moisturizer.
